A contact you no longer need to enter twice. A message you can write now and send tomorrow. A calendar reminder you can snooze when your hands are full. WonderOS 1.6.2 brings a collection of practical improvements to the Wonder Phone, including Google contact and calendar syncing, updated photo tools, and more control over everyday tasks.
Here’s what’s new, along with the model restrictions and activation details worth knowing.
Wonder Phone
Available in Talk + Media, Talk + Text, and Talk + Text + Navigation configurations.

Contacts and calendar events can now sync with your Google account, keeping that information backed up and consistent across your devices. You’ll find setup under Settings > Accounts.
What Google Sync includes: Contacts and calendar events. It does not add Gmail or unrestricted access to Google apps. Google Sync is not available on Star models.
If checking email is part of your workday, you’ll need a phone configuration that includes Gmail. The gray Apps version of the Qin F30 and the MegaLife F1 Zen offer Gmail within their filtered app packages. We’ve included a closer look at both below.
Better camera tools and an easier photo gallery
Wonder’s update adds video recording on eligible devices, alongside faster focus and reduced motion blur. Videos you record can play back directly on the phone.
The Gallery now lets you browse by Albums and Places. Deleted photos move to Trash instead of disappearing immediately, new photos appear sooner, and scrolling is faster. Zooming displays the full-resolution image.
To change how many photos fit on the screen, pinch with two fingers or use the volume keys.
Video recording requires activation on existing phones. Under L’maaseh Hechsher requirements, this feature is not added automatically. Call or text Wonder to have it enabled on an eligible device. Video recording is not available on Star models.
Write a message now. Send it later.
With Send Later, you can compose a message and choose its delivery time. Open the + attachment menu in Messages to find the option.
Conversations are easier to organize, too. Pin an important thread, mark a conversation unread so you remember to return to it, or long-press for more options. Search has also been improved.
A calendar with room for your whole day
The redesigned Calendar combines a cleaner layout with faster performance and more flexible reminders. You can add several reminders to one event, use alarm and snooze options for notifications, or mark an event as a To Do and check it off when it’s finished.
The update also adds:
- Event search and address or location fields
- Views organized by calendar type, with more colors to choose from
- Legal holidays and an option to hide the Jewish calendar
New add-ons: Smartlist and diabetes apps
Smartlist brings a directory of Jewish homes and businesses to the Wonder Phone. It is not available on Star models.
Wonder also announced that ControlX2 and xDrip+ can be added by request. Call or text Wonder to ask about adding them to your device.
Typing gets a few useful shortcuts
The keyboard adds glide typing, long-press access to numbers and symbols, improved T9 suggestions, and a better clipboard. Switching between Gboard and T9 is faster as well.
You can slide across the spacebar to move the cursor and double-tap it to insert a period. Another handy shortcut: select text and press Shift to switch between lowercase, capitals, and sentence case.
Calls, alarms, and timers
Quick Replies can now be edited, recent calls appear immediately, and each missed call gets its own notification. A call-timer notification helps you keep track of call length, while hold status is shown during a second call. You can also block a number manually, and long contact names display on two lines.
Clock and Timer improvements include a refreshed design, notes on alarms, custom alarm and snooze times, long-press timer options, and the ability to edit an existing timer.
Smaller changes you’ll notice along the way
- Calculator: Calculation history has been added.
- Music: Faster track switching and support for WMA files.
- Zmanim: Zman Motzai Shabbos now appears on Fridays, and missing holiday names have been added.
- Files: Long filenames scroll so you can read the complete name.
- Parental Controls: Block numbers separately for calls and messages, with category blocking for hotlines, podcasts, and more.
- Settings: Search within Settings to find an option more quickly.
The release also fixes issues with the flashlight while viewing message conversations, group messaging, T-Mobile voicemail notifications, missed-call cleanup, calendar month display and events, calculator functions, music search and fast-forward, file renaming, file-extension protection, and Zmanim priority settings.

Qin F30
The gray Apps version includes Gmail, Waze on the phone, Android Auto, Uber, banking, weather, and SmartList. The blue Talk + Text version does not include Gmail or navigation. Both block the browser, app store, and social media, so select the version that includes the tools you need.

MegaLife F1 Zen
The rugged Zen includes Gmail, Waze, selected financial and Jewish-media apps, and filtered WhatsApp for text and voice messages. Apps can be removed before shipping to suit your requirements; the configuration cannot be changed after purchase.

WonderOS 1.6.2 brings useful changes to familiar routines: keeping contacts current, organizing appointments, finding a photo, and sending a message at the right time.
