Wonder has released WonderOS 1.6.2, a major update for the Wonder Phone . The update adds several new features and improves many of the phone’s existing tools, including contacts, calendars, messaging, the camera, the photo gallery, typing, calls, alarms, and parental controls.
Below is a clear overview of what has changed and how the update may improve everyday use of the Wonder Phone.

Google Contact and Calendar Sync
Contacts and calendar events can now sync with a Google account. This provides a backup and helps keep information consistent across supported devices. Setup is available under Settings > Accounts.
Google Sync includes contacts and calendar events. It does not add Gmail or unrestricted access to Google apps. Google Sync is not available on Wonder Star models.
Improved Camera and Video Recording
The camera now supports video recording on eligible devices, with faster focus and less motion blur. Videos recorded on the phone can be played directly on the device.
Video recording is not enabled automatically on existing phones. Under L’maaseh Hechsher requirements, owners of eligible devices must call or text Wonder to request activation. Video recording is not available on Star models.
A Better Photo Gallery
Photos can now be browsed by Albums and Places. Deleted photos move to Trash instead of disappearing immediately. Scrolling is faster, newly captured photos appear sooner, and zooming displays the full-resolution image.
You can also pinch with two fingers or use the volume keys to change how many photos appear on the screen.
Schedule Messages With Send Later
Write a text message and choose when it should be sent. The Send Later option is available in the + attachment menu.
Messages also adds pinned conversations, the ability to mark a conversation unread, more options when long-pressing a conversation, and improved search.
A Redesigned Calendar
The Calendar has a cleaner layout, faster performance, and more ways to manage a schedule.
- Alarm and snooze options for event notifications
- Multiple reminders for one event
- Set an event as a To Do and check it off when completed
- Search for events and add an address or location
- View events by calendar type
- More colors for calendar types
- Legal holidays and an option to hide the Jewish calendar
Smartlist and Diabetes App Add-Ons
Smartlist can be added to provide a phonebook of Jewish homes and businesses directly on the Wonder Phone. Smartlist is not available on Star models.
ControlX2 and xDrip+ can also be added by request. Contact Wonder to ask about eligibility and activation for a specific device.
Keyboard Improvements
WonderOS 1.6.2 adds glide typing, long-press access to numbers and symbols, improved T9 suggestions, a better clipboard, and faster switching between Gboard and T9.
Slide across the spacebar to move the cursor, double-tap the spacebar to insert a period, or select text and press Shift to change it between lowercase, capitals, and sentence case.
Phone, Clock, and Timer Improvements
The Phone app now allows Quick Replies to be edited. Recent calls appear immediately, every missed call gets a separate notification, and a call timer shows the length of the current call.
The update also adds hold status during a second call, manual number blocking, and two-line display for longer contact names.
Clock and Timer improvements include notes on alarms, custom alarm and snooze times, long-press timer options, and the ability to edit an existing timer.
More Improvements Across the Phone
- Calculator: Calculation history has been added.
- Music: Faster track switching and WMA support.
- Zmanim: Zman Motzai Shabbos now appears on Fridays, and missing holiday names have been added.
- Files: Long filenames now scroll.
- Parental Controls: Block numbers separately for calls and messages, plus block categories such as hotlines and podcasts.
- Settings: Search directly within Settings.
The release also includes fixes for group messaging, T-Mobile voicemail notifications, missed-call cleanup, calendar events and month display, calculator functions, music search and fast-forward, file renaming, file-extension protection, Zmanim priority settings, and other smaller issues.
Which Type of Google Access Do You Need?
Google contact and calendar syncing is different from Gmail, Waze, Google Maps, or Android Auto. The right phone depends on which of those features you need.
- Choose the Wonder Phone for Google contact and calendar syncing on eligible models. The Talk + Text + Navigation configuration also includes Waze and Android Auto.
- Choose the gray Apps version of the Qin F30 for Gmail, Waze, Android Auto, and selected work apps.
- Consider the MegaLife F1 Zen for filtered Gmail and a broader selection of approved apps in a rugged flip phone.

Qin F30
The gray Apps version includes Gmail, Waze, Android Auto, Uber, banking, weather, and SmartList. The blue Talk + Text version does not include Gmail or navigation. Both versions block the browser, app store, and social media.

MegaLife F1 Zen
The rugged Zen includes Gmail, Waze, selected financial and Jewish-media apps, and filtered WhatsApp for text and voice messages. Apps can be removed before shipping to meet personal or community requirements.

WonderOS 1.6.2 improves many of the features people use throughout the day. Google contact and calendar syncing provides a safer way to keep information current, while the redesigned calendar, scheduled messages, improved gallery, and keyboard shortcuts make the phone easier to use.
Existing owners can contact Wonder about update assistance and features that require activation. Customers purchasing a new phone should confirm which configuration includes the features they need.
